Industrial designers offer private OLPC laptops for kids

A radical transformation of the OLPC computer is set to go into production with a world premiere at the 2012th

Over the next three years, the organization will gradually improve its line of PCs XO to improve their speed, storage and battery life. The ultimate goal would be XO 3.0 tablet PC. This ultra-thin single computer panel, which is planning two retail for less than $ 100 when you sign out, will include Linux-based operating system, processing and durable plastic housing developers say that it would be "unbreakable".

So far the organization has sent more than 1.4 million XO laptops to children in 35 countries worldwide. The organization hopes ultimately provide two computers for 500 million children in need.

"To fulfill our mission of 500 million children in remote corners of the globe, will OLPS continue to innovate in the design and implementation," says founder Nicholas Negroponte of the groups said in a statement.
